Software on computers in the FabLab

This software is available on the computers at the FabLab. We tend to use as much open source and ‘free’ software with a large online community as possible. Feel free to add recommendations in comments

In courses we tend to work with these.

• Windows 10 (64 bits)
  • Extra Fonts: Stencilia-A, Stencilia-Bold, gunplay rg, Braggadocio
• Cura 3.2.1 (on 64 bit) and Cura 15.04.6 (on 32 bit), For 3D printing
• InkScape 0.92. For 2D drawing
  • BoxMaker Plugin, For making boxes with the lasercutter
  • Elliptical-box-maker, For making boxes with the lasercutter
• SketchUp Make 2017, For 3D drawing
  • STL Import & Export, for importing and exporting to Cura

• Paint.NET 4.0.21, For bitmap editing (alternative for Photshop)

• LibreCAD 2.3.1, Drawing for constructional

To send commands to some machines we do need some proprietary software.

• On the laser cutter: LaserCut 5.3
• On the foil cutter: CutCreator
