In this thread I want to discuss my progress in building a small automatic 3d laser scanner, for objects up to ~30cm.

The design will mostly be based on the FabScan[1], which consists of a camera, a laser, rotating platform, a small computer and a case. The FabScan was created as part of a Bachelor graduation project. The thesis contains a lot of information about laser scanners[2]. However, one problem of this scanner is that a scan often contains a lot of holes. This can be solved to some extend by using multiple laser positions or multiple lasers. As lasers are relatively cheap, therefore I want to use 4 lasers, as they did in another project[3].
